Ultratec Special Effects uses only flame retardant tissue that is manufactured and tested to comply with the flammability tests promulgated under the Federal Hazardous Substances Act, administrated by the Consumer Product Safety Commission, section 191.14; • The flame retardant chemical applied to the sheet is FDA approved • Meets the CONEG (Coalition of North Governors) requirements for packaging • The sum concentration levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, and hexavalent chromium present in the tissue does not exceed 100 parts per million by weight • Is biodegradable, and free of preservatives. Ultratec’s mylar-based confetti has a metallic substrate with a propylene plastic-based coating; its flashpoint is higher than that of pulp paper-based confetti with fire retardant treatment and therefore does not require additional treatment to qualify as Flame Retardant. Due to the presence of metal however, it is conductive and should be used appropriate
